hi everyone I just installed the demo of window eyes because I wanted to try it out and see how different it was to jaws and, I was wondering is it possible to use eloquence with it? because I really don't like dectalk and I'm used to the eloquence voice.
Yep, it's possible. Window-Eyes includes it in the installer and it is installed with it. I don't remember how to switch to it, try exploring the menus, I think it's under something called Synthesizer. Not sure though as I haven't played with Window-Eyes in a while.
HTH,
Jeffrey
well, it's not under the select synthesizer menu and I installed it, I didn't use custom setting and checked all the eloq languages but it still wont appear under selec synth.
Maybe its called via voice? I'm not sure, as I haven't used window eyes in a while myself.
It should be available if you choose SAPI from the synthesizer list. if it isn't, you'll need to somehow get a copy of the demo on a CD which will have the eloquence voices.
Oh yeah, forgot you had to choose it that way.
Thanks for that.
Jeffrey
in order to use eliquence go the select synthiser, then arrow down to you hear sapi fpur or five. Then tab over until you hear installed engens and press e. window eyes will tell you all the elizqence voices you have installed. When you find the one you want just press enter. Hope this helps
In the new demo of window eyes, you can use eloquence just fine. You have to do a bit of looking around, but it does actually say eloquence now rather than sapi5 or viavoice.
Type alt+f, y. Then press E and select eloquence. I know this works in 7.1. I don't use window eyes because I like system access and Jaws better, but this should work.
Yep, it's been a regular non Sapi synthe since I think version 7.
yeah. exactly. 7 was when they started going to the regular driver for it and not the sapi4 driver for it.
